Hansel Jimenez, born in Peru, studied classical guitar and keyboard at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and returned to his birthplace to learn traditional instruments at the most prestigious music workshops run by acclaimed musicians such as Pedro Arriola and Edgar Espinoza.
He plays many different instruments with Duo Jimenez, where he and his family showcase the best Rhythms of the Andes for local Peruvian and Australian audiences.
He will be accompanied in a trio format, by 2 other brilliant local musicians, Cesar Marin, part of the Marin musical family playing charango, cuatro, guitar, bass, quena, zamponas, bombo and vocals with Sonido de los Andes and a member of Son Veneno. Pato Lara, Australian born, citizen of the world composer and musician famous for his World Rhythms of Latin American Fusions, completes the trio and together for the first time, they will bring us their unique take on the Rhythms of the Andes.
